Reviews
My favorite place of my whole trip to DC! So many amazing dishes, and the perfect medium between classic and healthified vegan food! The tofu Marsala was by far my favorite dish!!! Soooooo good I already tried to remake at home!
Excellent food and welcoming service. We came for breakfast and loved every dish on our table. The chicken Caesar was my absolute favourite. Could have eaten another portion of the same. Cauliflower wings were also very good.
The carrot cake is moist, light, and delicious! It's just sweet enough....I really wished that I had a black coffee on the side!
The classic hoagie was good. The bread was fresh. The cauliflower wings didn't appear on the carryout menu online, but they were there in-person...so I didn't order them when I could have! My firend got the chikn parm and liked it. I'd like to go back!
I can't really speak to service or atmosphere, so I ranked it average.
I Love this vegan restaurant. So glad I finally stopped by. Definitely one of the best vegan spots in DC. Great dinning experience upstairs and a coffee shop downstairs that includes pastries. Highly recommend DC Vegan.
really good food! however the menu design (not dishes themselves) could use a rework! was a bit tricky to guess at what some of the items were. Felt the wedge salad was overdressed and lackluster. Cheese plate was our fav. Beans & greens, focaccia also good, love the vegan ricotta. Solid 4 out of 5 Italian vegan. Would return.
I was excited to find a Vegan spot in DC with comfort food! DC Vegan has indoor and outdoor seating which is nice because it does get busy. It was nice sitting outside since you're up high on the patio and it's a bit more intimate. The staff were friendly and overall it was a nice vibe there. The only reason I gave DC Vegan four stars is that my sister's order took way too long. I pretty much finished my entire meal before she got hers. I walked in to let them know my sister didn't get her meal yet and the woman didn't seem in a rush to get it. Once the woman did grab the food, she walked right past me and went outside without letting me know it was my sister's. It was just weird since I stood in the place a little longer not knowing she finally gave my sister her food.
Overall, the food was good, but the service could have been slightly better.
this is one of my favorite vegan stops ever now. food is delicious, portions are generous, vibes and people are excellent! i highly recommend the truffle mushroom omelet if you like mushrooms. it’s rare i can get a full suite of breakfast options that are all vegan and taste really good and are filling. come eat here! you won’t be disappointed
We had high hopes for this place... we had a breakfast bowl which was good but much more of a salad with topping than a bowl of breakfast. We also got the lemon ricotta pancakes which were hands down the worst vegan item at any vegan restaurant we have been to. They were cold and hard... and even when remade they tasted a lot like cardboard. (The picture is cut off pieces I couldn't eat). My husband ended up eating them because he was starving from traveling but definitely couldn't say he enjoyed them. Super disappointed so we didn't even try any desserts... it was pretty expensive for the lack of taste. Glad to have tried it because the pictures looked good but we wouldn't come back.
